PROJECT WORTHY

BUILDING A COMMUNITY BASED ON THE HEALTH, SAFETY, AND WELL-BEING OF HOMELESS YOUTH
As a student-run nonprofit organization, Project WORTHY aims to increase community awareness of risks and challenges faced by homeless youth, as well as put forth efforts to address their specific needs. We bring attention to these issues in the student community through fundraising and volunteer opportunities. To accomplish this, we:

-
Educate for the purpose of understanding threats to homeless youth's health, safety and well-being
-
Provide opportunities for participants to engage in providing service to homeless youth including but not limited to tutoring, mentorship, life skills, etc
-
Host a podcast series interviewing those who have been affected by homelessness to hear their stories and understand their lives
-
Fundraise for items that may be beneficial and useful to homeless youth
-
Sponsor, host, and/or participate in events and activities that encourage community engagement
